Intelligent Building integrates ICT with building technology in order to maximize user’s comfort, and to ensure sustainability by increasing the efficiency and performance of the building systems. Taiwan’s Architecture and Building Research Institute (ABRI) established an Intelligent Building Evaluation System with the measures for receiving the Intelligent Building Certificate. The requirements are divided into 2 categories: Infrastructure and Functions. Category Infrastructure consists of the following 4 mandatory indicators: Unifying Wiring, Information and Communication, System Integration, and Facility Management; whereas Category Functions only requires 1 of the following 4 indicators to be passed: Safety and Disaster Prevention, Health and Comfort, Convenience and Friendliness, and Energy Efficiency and Management. The Design Consultant team is required to follow local regulations to obtain the Intelligent Building Certificate
